NCIS focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing dynamics of a team forced to work together in high-stress situations - from murder to espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents traverse the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.
NCIS Special Agent, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a former Marine gunnery sergeant, leads this troupe of colourful personalities. The team includes NCIS Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, an ex-homicide detective whose instincts in the field are unparalleled and whose quick wit and humorous take on life make him a team favourite; the youthful and energetic forensic specialist Abby Sciuto, a talented scientist whose sharp mind matches her Goth style and eclectic tastes, NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee, an MIT graduate whose brilliance with computers far overshadows his insecurities in the field, and Ziva David, perhaps the most dangerous member of the team, a former Mossad liason now NCIS Special Agent. Assisting the team is super experienced medical examiner Dr Donald "Ducky" Mallard. Rounding out the team is NCIS director Leon Vance, an intelligent, highly trained agent who can always be counted on to shake up the status quo.
The last season on NCIS, was about the identity of the notorious Port-to-Port killer: Lt. Jonas Cobb. There were a few kidnappings and one death, but it was wrapped up in the end. While his story arc has been resolved, there's another major cliffhanger that the finale left us with. DiNozzo has been trusted with a secret and it will certainly affect the rest of the team on NCIS Season 9.
