Aamir Khan and the makers of Satyamev Jayate have reasons to rejoice. The first season of the show has been so successful so far that Aamir Khan feels that it is only too appropriate to go in for a second season. The makers had initially decided for 13 episodes in season one. The show is half way into completion and people can't seem to get enough of it!
Satyamev Jayate has so far delved into social matters such as female infanticide, domestic violence and faulty health care system. On Sunday, Aamir talked about alcohol abuse. The show has managed to affect the society and the 'system' in many spectacular ways.
Speaking about his intentions to start season two at a radio channel 92.7 Big FM, Aamir Khan said, "Right now I have to shoot Dhoom 3 and Rajkumar Hirani's film PK. After completing them, I will come back and take a stock of the situation and then I will decide about the second season of the show."
The actor further added, "We have received a dream response... but it has been very difficult for us to review our work. So many things have happened that has made it difficult for our research team to go back to the fields and actually find out the actual impact we have created."
It is being said that for season two, the team of Satyamev Jayate will first assess the impact that the season one of SJ has created and then will also cover what needs to be addressed in the second innings of the programme. The second season of SJ is likely to go on board post September.
