Speaking about her debut serial, Monica Bedi said, "My wait is over. I was waiting for the right role and the right banner to work with. I am now working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and I feel I am on the right track. The character is very powerful and there is scope for acting."
Monica, who has gone through a tough time in her personal life says that television has been very lucky for her. Previously, the actress was seen in TV reality show Bigg Boss too. "I had made a comeback with Bigg Boss and it did something for me, which 25 of my films could not do. So television was (has been) lucky for me. You never know what might change your fate. This break that I have got, will be a unique thing," she said. Monica plays the role of lead actor Gautam Rode's mother in the show. The soap opera is all set to go on air on February 25 on Star Plus.

Monica was born to Dr. Prem Kumar Bedi and Shakuntala Bedi on January 18, 1975 in a village named Chabbewal in the district Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Her parents migrated to Norway in 1979, when she was 4 years old.
