Vaseline Zee Rishtey Awards 2013 turned out to be a never forgettable extravaganza. With all the daily soaps competing against each other to get the maximum number of awards, it was Qubool Hai and Jodha-Akbar that topped the winners list by getting two and four awards respectively.The theme for this year's award ceremony was Vasudhev Kutumbakam.
Qubool Hai bagged favorite jodi and favorite bhai award for the evening. While, Jodha Akbar took away the awards for favorite serial, best popular face male, favorite new jodi and best screenplay.
No award is complete without some intense dance performances and absolutely thrilling and enthusiastic anchoring with jokes. The hosts for the show were none other than the crazy boys of Zee Rithvik Dhanjani and Jai Bhanushaali. They made sure that there was no moment leff without a smile for the audiences.
Performances were presented by the stars of Zee tv that left the audiences spellbound. Asad-Zoya's (Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti) sizzling mid-air shikara act and Jodha-Akbar's (Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma) performance were the highlights of the evening.
Other acts included Eijaz Khan, Chetan Hansraj, Ankita Lokhande, Neha Marda and Mahima Makwana. The theme of love was centre stage during the performances of Arjun and Purvi (Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi), Gunjan and Mayank (Roopal Tyagi and Ankit Gera) and Raghu and Shivani (Arhaan Behl and Mansi Srivastav).Sunil Grover was at his best playing Gutthi and entertaining the audiences.
ZEEL MD and CEO, Punit Goenka felicitated three shows of rival channels, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Balika Vadhu and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for setting up bench mark performances in there respective genres.
Film stars like Sonali Bendre, Mithun Chakravarthy, Anil Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi too were present to make the evening a special one. Mithun Chakravarthy received the Zee 'Anmol Ratna' award for his life time contribution to the channel.
Zee Rishtey Awards 2013 did indeed abide by its belief- Akhir rishtey banaana humse behtar kaun jaanta hai ( Who knows making relationships better than us).
