The
man
under
the
lens,
Sunil
Grover,
popularly
known
as
"Gutthi" from
Comedy
Nights
With
Kapil,
has
broken
his
silence
and
has
decided
to
talk
about
what
exactly
happened
that
made
him
leave
one
of
the
most
talked
about
shows
in
current
times.
He
talks
about
why
he
left
the
show,
about
the
host
of
the
show
Kapil
Sharma
and
most
importantly
about
the
future
of
"Gutthi".
Sunil
Grover
opens
up
about
what
exactly
happened
between
the
makers
of
Comedy
Nights
With
Kapil
and
himself.
He
said
that
when
his
contract
ended
with
the
channel,
he
asked
for
a
hike,
which
he
felt
was
well
deserved.
They
responded
with
a
clear
No
and
an
offer
to
work
as
a
freelancer.
What
followed
after,
upset
Sunil
and
he
put
his
foot
down
and
said
enough
is
enough.
Talking
about
Gutthi,
Sunil
said
that
he
wants
to
clarify
to
everyone
that
Kapil
Sharma
did
not
create
the
character,
but
he
did.
He
said
that
he
has
played
this
character
before
on
Comedy
Circus.
And
when
he
was
hired
to
play
multiple
characters
in
Comedy
Nights
With
Kapil,
suddenly
one
day
the
creative
team
decided
that
he
should
play
Gutthi.
Talking
about
the
host
of
the
show
and
his
good
friend
Kapil
Sharma,
Sunil
said
that
there
is
no
issues
between
them
and
they
still
remain
good
friends
till
date.
They
even
performed
together
on
stage
last
week.

and/or

Talking
about
the
future
of
the
character
Gutthi,
Sunil
said
to
a
leading
daily,
"Why
can't
he
play
Gutthi?
That
is
equivalent
to
compelling
me
to
stop
working.
But
I
won't
stop.
I
am
here
to
act.
I
might
never
have
played
Gutthi
again
had
things
been
sorted
out
amicably.
But
I
don't
like
someone
forcibly
stopping
me.
Now,
I
want
to
retain
the
rights
to
the
name.
But
if
they
get
another
actor
playing
Gutthi
on
Comedy
Nights
With
Kapil,
I
will
not
oppose
because
this
show
gave
me
a
platform
that
changed
my
life.
This
controversy
has
only
made
me
bigger."
