Taslima
Nasreen
loves
getting
into
controversies
and
she
did
it
again.
The
author
of
the
controversial
novel
'Lajja'
says
that
women
shown
in
the
Indian
Television
serials
depict
weakness.
Taslima
has
slammed
the
television
serials
saying
that
they
love
showing
a
women
weak
or
submissive
and
do
not
show
them
as
strong.
She
believes
that
women
today
are
much
stronger
than
the
men
so
they
should
be
shown
as
strong,
independent
and
warrior
like
characters.
Nasreen
says
that
in
her
television
serial
Dusahobas,
she
would
show
women
as
powerful
and
much
more
authoritative
than
shown
in
the
television
serials
now.
She
does
not
want
to
glorify
the
submissive
woman
in
her
serial.
She
says
that
people,
who
are
misogynist,
who
see
women
in
bad
light,
probably
make
such
serials.
According
to
her,
the
serials
do
not
show
women
as
doctors,
engineers
or
philosophers
and
their
characters
are
relegated
to
the
roles
of
housewives.
She
challenges
and
tells
that
she
will
not
do
the
same
and
will
show
the
chauvinist
society
how
brave
women
are.
She
suggests
the
makers
not
to
make
serials
according
to
what
is
popular
with
the
audience
rather
make
better
and
unique
choices
regarding
it.
Dusahobas
airs
from
December
19
and
will
be
screened
from
Monday
to
Saturday
at
10
pm
on
Aakash
Aath.
