Who would have known that veteran actor Alok Nath's appearance on Kapil Sharma's Comedy Nights With Kapil would bring new career opportunities for him, at the age of 57! Kapil Sharma, through Comedy Nights... seems to have gone from a humble comedian to a celebrity to a career-maker of celebrities!

Veteran actor Alok Nath, better known as Babuji, as a result of the countless number of times he has played father in Bollywood movies and TV serials alike, is now set for an image makeover. Alok Nath, post his appearance on Kapil Sharma's Comedy Nights With Kapil, will now be seen in a comic avatar in Sab TV's Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai.

Alok Nath surprised viewers by his funny and mischevious avatar on Comedy Nights With Kapil, and this has now led to him being approached for a comic role in an upcoming comedy show on Sab TV, touted to be the 'inspired' by Comedy Nights With Kapil.

"I never really did comedy on TV except for one or two before Buniyaad. Of course, I have done a lot of comedy during my school and college days, but it's not the same. I think this role (in Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai) came to me because of my appearance on Comedy Nights with Kapil. I think the show opened a lot of doors for me," Alok said, excited about his new role.

Alok Nath, known for his sanskari image, will be seen shedding his sanskari virtues for his comic role in Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai, that also has Supriya Pathak. However, sources confirm that he will still be playing Babuji in the show.
