Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7: Confirmed Contestant List; Sreesanth, Kiku, Ashish, Andy...
After several names, including Sanaya Irani, Karan Kundra, Yuvvraj Singh, dancer Daksha Sheth, Shobhaa De, Milkha Singh, Atif Aslam and the controversial Lulia Vantur were included in the list of 'probable contestants' on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7, the buzz has finally been put to an end.
With the seventh edition of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa all set to kick off by the end of June, it looks like the producers have got themselves yet another winning formula to satiate the hunger of the die-hard JDJ fans. Afterall, apart from proving their dancing prowess, the participants also function as significant TRP raisers.

Hmm...let's see...eminent names in the telly world like Mouni Roy, Pooja Bose, Ashish Sharma, Kritika Kamra and Karan Tacker shaking a leg will surely keep their fans tuned in. To add to the show's viewership, are comedians Kiku Sharda and VJ Andy, who will fill the void left by ex-host Kapil Sharma and Season 5 participant Bharti Singh, in entertaining the audience. While Sophie Choudhry will effortlessly bring in the oomph factor, Purab Kohli, cricketer S.Sreesanth and singer Sukhwinder Singh are guaranteed to grab a lot of eyeballs.
Jhalak... has also remained loyal to its mantra of bringing a professional dancer on board to raise the standards of dance on the show, by way of Shakti Mohan, ensuring increased competition and excitement this season too. The child prodigy chosen for Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7 is 8-year old Akshat Singh, of India's Got Talent 5 and Comedy Nights with Kapil fame. However, after the previous season saw the extremely popular Lauren Gottlieb participate, not including a firang on the list this time is quite surprising.
The trio of judges- Karan Johar, Dhak-Dhak queen Madhuri Dixit and choreographer Remo D'Souza and host Manish Paul have been retained from the last season, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6, according to sources.
Keeping these factors in mind, one can expect a power-packed season of Jhalak... this time round too, but it is quite early to start expecting, as last moment changes may be due. So will Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 7 be bigger and better? We'll have to wait to find out!
Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7 All Set For A Comeback!
The popular show can be expected to return on-air by the end of next month, with its 13 contestants already finalised. The trio of Remo D'Souza, Karan Johar and Madhuri Dixit have been retained as the judges.
S. Sreesanth
The controversial cricketer has turned to try his hands(and legs) at dancing, following suit with Krishnamachari Srikkanth from JDJ 6. Rumours suggest that he will clarify himself on his spot fixing allegations through the show.
Purab Kohli
Actor, VJ and model Purab Kohli is also one of the contestants who have been finalised for the dance reality show. The actor of 'Jal' fame has been on the probable list of entries into Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7 for quite a while now.
Kiku Sharda
Popularly known as Palak of Comedy Nights with Kapil, the comedian, after previously having contested on Nach Baliye 6 with wifey Priyanka, will appear on JDJ 7 as well.
Ashish Sharma
He is currently portraying the role of Major Rudra Pratap Singh of Colors TV's Rangrasiya. Though his co-star Sanaya Irani hinted the judges in the previous season of JDJ that she would love to be a part of the show, looks like Sanaya has not been approached. Will Ashish's fans accept this 'Jhalak' of his talent?
Karan Tacker
The handsome hunk rose to fame after his role of Viren Singh Vadhera in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. He is currently hosting Halla Bol on Bindaas.
Shakti Mohan
Shakti Mohan's passion for dance is unknown to none. We're sure this Dance India Dance Season 2 winner will leave no stone unturned in giving her fellow contestants a run for their money.
Sukhwinder Singh
The Haule Haule singer has a vast fan following no, doubt. But will his fans be, Haule Haule, blown away by his dance moves?
Kritika Kamra
The pretty Kitani Mohabbat Hai actress will now treat her audience to some latkas and jhatkas, and hopefully some impressive International moves as well.
VJ Andy
Born as Anand Kumar, this VJ, Comedian and Fashion Stylist is an interesting addition to the list. The former Big Boss 7 housemate is also apparently a dancer.
Akshat Singh
People might probably not remember him by his name, but this former-IGT kid's talent speaks heaps. Afterall, he did not reach The Ellen DeGeneres Show for nothing. Let's wish this chota star all the best!
Pooja Bose
In the news for mostly the wrong reasons, this time round it's different for Pooja Bose. Known better as Goddess Parvati from Devon Ke Dev-Mahadev, the young lady is now ready to establish her dancing talent on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7.
Sophie Choudry
Joining the Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7 club of multitalented contestants is Sophie Choudry. Being a singer, musician, actress, vj, model and trained in various Indian and Western forms of music and dance, is there anything this lass cannot do? We look forward to seeing her sizzle on the dancefloor.
Mouni Roy
Mouni Roy joins the Jhalak Dikhla Jaa bandwagon as the second Goddess on board. She is currently fellow-contestant Pooja Bose's co-star on Devon Ke Dev-Mahadev and essays the role of Goddess Sati. Mouni has proved her dancing prowess in dance reality shows like Zara Nachke Dikha and Boogie Woogie.
