It's time for Wild card weekend on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7! Sources say that Iski Uski (2 States) singer Akriti Kakkar, Grand Masti fame Kainaat Arora, So You Think You Can Dance Canada Season 2 winner Tara Jean Popowich, TV actor Kushal Punjabi, Red FM RJ Malishka and singer Rahul Vaidya have been finalised for the wild card round, set to be aired next week.
So far, three contestants- VJ Andy, Purab Kohli Kritika Kamra have been eliminated from Jhalak 7. Thus, a replacement comes by way of the wild card entries into the show. The six celebs will battle it out in the wild card round, out of which, ideally three would be chosen to compete in Jhalak 7. However, like last year, if the judges find more celebs worthy of the opportunity, then we could see another celeb joining the show too.
By now, we have figured that Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7 has indeed, been bitten by the angrezi bug. The newest firang on the block and the attraction on the wild card list is Tara Jean Popowich, who won the second season of Canada's So You Think You Can Dance. The seductress from Grand Masti, Kainaat Arora, has also been finalised as a wild card nominee, we hear.
RJ Malishka, popular host of 93.5 Red FM Mumbai will be the first ever full-time RJ to participate on Jhalak. She will be joined by TV actor Kushal Punjabi, who is a trained dancer-choreographer, who has also worked with legendary dancer-choreographer Shiamak Davar.
Bollywood playback singer Akriti Kakkar, who shot to fame with songs like Abhi Abhi from Jism 2 and the latest chartbuster Iski Uski from 2 States, will also be showing us a Jhalak of her dancing skills in a couple of weeks. The other wild card nominee is another playback singer from Btown- Rahul Vaidya.
TV actors Neha Marda, her co-star Shraddha Arya, Debina Bonerjee were approached, but they could not offer dates. Ruslaan Mumtaz was offered Jhalak too, but he wanted to be a part of the show from the beginning, hence turned down the offer.
Let's wait and see if there are any changes in this list, and who will join the Jhalak family by impressing the judges.
