Jodha
Akbar
18th
February
written
episode:
Akbar
talks
to
Adgar
Khan
regarding
the
administration
of
the
state.
He
smells
some
corruption
in
the
system
and
orders
Adgar
to
keep
watch.
When
he
is
worried
about
the
matters
of
the
state,
Jodha’s
sweet
song
touches
his
ears,
his
troubled
mind
finds
peace
and
solace.
He
cannot
help
visiting
Jodha’s
room.
Akbar
asks
Jodha
about
her
experience
of
the
tour.
He
asks
what
Jodha
liked
more,
the
tour
or
his
company
in
the
tour.
Jodha
gives
no
straight
answer
to
this
question,
rather
orders
some
lukewarm
water.
She
gives
a
warm
bath
and
massage
to
Akbar’s
foot
as
she
notices
injuries
there.
As
Jodha
finds
that
Akbar
is
in
a
light
mood,
she
thinks
of
giving
him
an
important
news.
After
much
hesitation,
she
informs
Akbar
that
she
visited
Bakshi
Banu’s
chamber
and
has
come
to
know
that
she
is
pregnant.
Akbar
becomes
angry
with
her
as
she
has
broken
the
Mughal
rules
by
meting
a
criminal.
He
pays
no
heed
to
Jodha’s
plea
for
forgiving
Bakshi
Banu.
Jodha’s
sudden
visit
to
her
chamber
in
an
unusual
hour
surprises
Hamida
Begum.
Jodha
repeats
the
same
plea
to
Hamida
Begum,
regarding
Bakshi
Banu.
Like
Akbar,
Hamida
also
rejects
this
plea
at
once.
She
reminds
Jodha
how
Sharifudin
and
Bakshi
Banu
tried
to
malign
and
defame
Jodha,
how
they
played
with
her
honour.
Jodha
still
sticks
to
her
point.
She
tells
Hamida
that
Bakshi
Banu
is
repenting
and
she
should
be
forgiven.
A
person’s
mistake
cannot
be
corrected
by
punishment,
a
wrongdoer
changes
only
by
repentance—says
Jodha.
And
she
puts
emphasis
on
the
fact
that
the
lady
is
pregnant
and
she
needs
her
family
around
her.
Akbar
is
surprised
to
find
all
his
Begums
and
his
mother
together
at
his
chamber.
He
asks
his
mother
whether
anything
is
wrong.
Hamida
Begum
brings
the
proposal
of
forgiving
Bakshi
Banu
and
Akbar
refuses
to
do
so.
In
prison,
Sharifuddin
is
informed
that
he
is
to
be
shifted
to
other
prison.
He
also
comes
to
know
that
his
wife
has
conceived,
his
face
glows
with
the
thought
of
freedom,
as
he
foresees
such
future
in
this
news.
