Akbar gets the news that Nigar's troop has attacked Agra. Akbar, Akbar, Todarmal and Atgah fight with the soldiers. Atgah tells Akbar that time has come to get prepared for war. Akbar tells him that he cannot take weapon against his own sister.

A messenger informs that the attack is actually from Kabul, planned by Begum Maha Chuchak. Mirza Hakim feels extremely upset for being the son of Maha Chuchak.

Jodha tells Akbar that he cannot avoid war any more, as Nigar has already declared it. If he remains inactive, the existence of the state will be at stake and the common mass will suffer. Akbar pays no heed to Jodha.
