Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon: 9th May; Madhu's Patience Ends, Results in Rebellion

Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon 9th May written episode: Raja introduces Madhu as his wife. His grand ma regrets that he has married without informing them. Raja replies that he will explain later. He requests them to bless Madhu. His sisters keep talking foul about her, learning that she is from the city of Mumbai.

Raja's sisters opine that Madhu must have tricked Raja into marrying her. One of them takes out her glasses and says that brides of the family are not supposed to wear glasses. She insults Madhu calling her blind. Raja takes Madhu's glasses back.

Grand pa declares that he will accept Raja's choice. His sisters still complain that the bride has come without jewelry. Grand ma says that whatever the bride is, they will accept her and groom her according to the customs of the family.

A widow comes out to see Raja. Grand pa insults her calling ominous. Raja's brother-in-law declares that it is her crime to come out in holy occasions. He insists that she should stand out of the house for the whole day, as a punishment.

Madhu is taken for the rituals. She is told that the brides of the family are treated like Goddesses. She is dropped inside a well by means of a swing, to get purified. She continuously opposes to go through the customs. Raja and his family members compel her in obeying the norms. When she feels extremely uneasy throughout the process, Raja keeps taking her snaps.

After the bath Madhu is taken inside the house. She watches the widow helplessly standing outside and bearing her punishment. She insists on changing clothes as she feels cold. Grandma says that the purification is still not over.

Madhu is made to sit for further rituals. The priest says that she has to be bathed for a second time to wash out the ‘impurities of the city'. Madhu stands up and declares that she cannot bear any more. Everyone is shocked at this rebellion.
