VJ
Andy
is
the
first
contestant
to
be
eliminated
today
from
the
celebrity
dance
reality
show
'Jhalak
Dikhhla
Jaa'
season
seven.
Andy,
34,
who
was
paired
opposite
choreographer
Bhavani,
said
he
never
expected
that
he
will
be
evicted
from
the
show
so
soon.
"I
never
expected
that
my
innings
will
be
so
short.
I
tried
to
give
my
best
but
I
feel
that
I
could
not
make
it
to
the
audience's
hearts.
I
had
a
little
bit
inhibitions
since
the
beginning
because
my
dance
partner
was
completely
new
with
no
experience
of
reality
show," Andy
told.
The
Colors's
reality
show
sees
13
celebrity
contestants
perform
various
dances
with
professional
choreographer
partners
and
are
being
judged
by
actress
Madhuri
Dixit,
filmmaker
Karan
Johar,
choreographers
Remo
D'Souza
and
Maksim
Chmerkovskiy.
Apart
from
the
new
choreographer,
Andy
conceded
that
he
misjudged
people's
expectations
from
him.
"People
had
huge
expectations
from
me
but
I
think
I
was
not
able
to
fulfill
them
because
my
two
performances
were
lacking
concepts.
We
also
changed
our
performance
last
minute
to
bring
some
newness
and
I
felt
that
was
the
final
nail
in
the
coffin,"
he
said.
Known
for
his
unique
antics
in
the
last
season
of
'Bigg
Boss',
Andy
thought
that
the
talent
hunt
will
help
him
make
a
comeback
to
dancing
after
his
back
injury.
"I
started
learning
Kathak
when
I
was
in
sixth
grade,
and
contemporary
dance
during
my
college
days.
But
12
years
ago,
I
had
a
back
injury
and
left
dance
completely.
Coming
back
to
dance
and
shape
was
really
tough
for
me,"
he
added.
Asked
who
has
the
maximum
chances
of
winning
the
show,
Andy
said,
"Sophie
(Choudry).
She
is
a
fine
dancer
and
her
choreographer
Deepak
has
many
innovative
concepts.
Sophie
has
a
huge
fan
following
too."
The
video
jockey,
who
had
hosted
shows
like
'Get
Gorgeous' and
'Dare
To
Date'
in
the
past,
said
he
will
go
back
to
anchoring
again
as
he
has
got
couple
of
offers
in
his
kitty.
