Old shows like Saraswatichandra, Pavitra Rishta, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Mad In India and many others are going to shut shop to make way for new ones very soon.

TV channels are gearing up to refresh their shows by putting an end to all the shows that are being dragged for months together and making way for fresh new shows with innovative ideas and concepts targetting maximum audiences compared to their counterparts.

Fiction shows like Jamai Raja, Bade Door Se Aaye Hai, Saath Vachan, A Tale Of Two Sisters, Bandhan, Meri Aashiqui Thumse Hai and non-fiction shows like Cine Stars Ki Khoj, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and Love By Chance.

Popular shows like Saraswatichandra, Pavitra Rishta, Madhubala.., Mad in India and many others have taken up prime slots for a long time and have not been giving back satisfying ratings as well.

Though some of these shows have denied coming close to their end, the news about the inevitable gets leaked no matter. Saraswatichandra, for instance, the makers have retrained from any comment and the lead actor Gautam Rode has denied knowing anything about the show ending, just the fact that they are not denying says a lot by itself.

The seventh season of the show will launch by the end of next month. It will retain its judges Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Remo D'Souza.

The show, which is launching just a day before IPL ends, will showcase a true love story every week. It revolves around two young people, who stumble upon love purely by chance. The show will be hosted by actor Kavi Shastri.

The show with Jamai Raja as its working title is based on the dramedy, Jamai Raja (1990), starring Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor and Hema Malini. Nia Sharma, Ravi Dubey and Shruti Ulfat will play lead roles, while Achint Kaur will reprise Hema's role.

Saat Vachan

Saat Vachan

The show is said to be an adaptation of popular Marathi show, Honar Soon Me Hya Gharchi. The protagonist of the show has six mothers-in-law.

Bandhan

Bandhan

Said to be the first telly series on animal-human relationship, it revolves around a six-year-old girl, played by Ananya Agarwal, and a baby elephant.

Cinestars Ki Khoj

Cinestars Ki Khoj

The talent-hunt reality show is returning to the small screen after a decade.

Bade Door Se Aaye Hai

Bade Door Se Aaye Hai

The comedy TV series based on aliens revolves around a family from outer space who find their way to earth and are trying to figure out the way of life here. It stars Sumeet Raghavan as the male lead.

Amitabh - Anurag Show

Amitabh - Anurag Show

Big B's debut show, directed by Anurag Kashyap, will see him play a construction king. The actor has also co-produced the show.
