The television world may be the small screen but it has proven to be a great source of talent. However, with loads of talent comes a heavy price! Production houses nowadays, are willing to pay a hefty sum to popular actors to get them on board for their serials.
Ruling the roost are Indian Television's most admired and popular actors, Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy! Where Ram Kapoor, continues to be seen in the serial ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain', Ronit Roy was last seen in ‘Adaalat'. They both drew in a sum of Rs.125000 per day, which is the highest by any standards on Indian Telly world.
Next in line is the senior TV actor Shivaji Satam who is seen in the long-lasting series ‘CID' and is paid Rs.100000 a day. His character of ‘ACP Pradyuman' still draws crowds and he can still give the younger actors a run for their money! Newbie Mohit Raina caught eye-balls for his role of Shiva in the successful series of ‘Devon Ka Dev- Mahadev'. He allegedly drew Rs.100000 a day and was rumoured to be working for the whole month with no offs! Sakshi Tanwar has been in the Indian television industry for many years now and has been accepted in every role, whether it be ‘Parvati' in ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' or the current role of ‘Priya' in ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain'. She draws a decent Rs.70000 per day. The serial ‘Pavitra Rishta' brought Ankita Lokhande huge fame. With this, she has allegedly raised her fee from Rs.70000 to Rs.100000 as she was unhappy with the way her track was moving.
Rashmi Desai has been a household name since years, thanks to her role of ‘Tapasya' in ‘Uttaran'. Though the serial isn't raking much of the TRPs as it used to Rashmi is known to draw around Rs.65000 per episode. Close on her heels is Tina Dutta who plays the role of ‘Meethi' charges a nominal fee of Rs.55000 per day. TV actors Gaurav Chopra of ‘Uttaran' and Gautam Rode of ‘Saraswatichandra' fame are paid a meagre Rs.50000 and Rs.45000 per day.
