Yeh Hai Mohabbatein 16th April written episode: Ishita calls the gynecologist and explains the condition of Puja. She tells her that she had to take her back home due to the curfew. The doctor says that she cannot come to attend the patient amid the curfew. She says that Ishita can do it, as she has medical knowledge. She adds that delivery does not necessarily need a doctor and often it is done by women of the family. Moreover, there is no other option in the present situation. Ishita gets ready for the delivery.
Puja is taken to the community hall. The ladies remain inside the hall, while men wait outside. Puja gives birth to a girl child in Ishita’s hands , under the guidance of the lady doctor. Everyone appreciates Ishita. The Bhallas and the Iyers become proud of her. She brings honey for the mouth sweetening ritual.
Raman is informed that Ishita has completed the delivery. He finds Shagun in the road and decides to drop her at home. Shagun keeps blabbering how much Ashok cares for her. She pretends to receive Ashok’s call. Raman tells her that he is helping her on human ground only. When Raman drops her at home, the servant tells Shagun that Ashok did not care to send a driver for her. Shagun’s lie is exposed.
Pammi aunty insists that Ishita should give honey to the child’s mouth. Bala’s mother intervenes. She says that Ishita is an infertile woman and so she should not be included in any holy rite. Pammy aunty readily takes the bowl of honey from her hand. Ishita’s eyes are filled with tears.
Ruhi rushes home. She asks Toshi what infertile means. Toshi wants to avoid the question, but Ruhi becomes determined to know it. Toshi explains that infertile means a woman who cannot have child. She adds that it is a derogatory word.
Ruhi comes back to the labour room and slams Bala’s mother. She says that she is the daughter of Ishita, so Ishita can never be called infertile. Ruhi hugs and protects Ishita. Everyone witnesses the holy bonding between them, including Raman, who has just come back !
