Television
actor
Sangram
Indrajit
Singh,
who
plays
a
negative
role
in
the
serial
Yeh
Hai
Mohabbatein,
has
been
arrested
under
the
Information
Technology
Act
for
allegedly
defaming
a
casting
consultant,
Sonia
Singh.
Reportedly,
Sangram
posted
an
old
photo
of
Soniya
at
a
police
station
on
Twitter,
saying
she
was
there
for
fraud
and
disturbing
peace.
"Soniya
Singh
at
police
station
for
fraud
and
disturbing
peace
intentionally," the
TV
actor
tweeted
along
with
the
picture,
after
which
Soniya
filed
a
complaint
against
him
at
Malad
police
station.
According
to
Malad
police
officials,
Singh
and
the
complainant
Soniya
Singh
have
been
friends
in
the
past.
Soniya
works
as
a
casting
consultant
for
films
and
television.
However,
recently,
they
had
a
falling
out
after
an
argument,
when
Singh
alleged
that
she
was
not
providing
him
good
roles
in
the
industry.
In
the
complaint
filed,
Soniya
claims
that
last
year
in
October,
she
had
gone
to
a
police
station
for
some
personal
work
and
Singh
had
a
photo
of
her
at
the
station.
After
the
argument,
in
order
to
defame
her,
Singh
used
the
photo
and
posted
it
on
the
social
networking
site
Twitter
with
the
post,
'Soniya
Singh
at
police
station
for
fraud
and
disturbing
peace
intentionally.' His
two
friends
had
reportedly
also
posted
the
same
on
the
website.
The
post
quickly
spread
and
news
soon
reached
Soniya,
who
then
registered
a
case
with
the
Malad
police
station.
A
leading
tabloid
quoted
a
senior
police
official
saying,
"Based
on
the
complaint,
Singh
has
been
arrested
under
the
IT
Act.
He
was
produced
in
the
Bandra
holiday
court
on
Wednesday
and
later
given
bail."
Along
with
Singh,
two
of
his
friends,
actor-model
Karan
Arora
and
Karan
Kundra
are
also
being
investigated
for
their
involvement
in
the
case.
