Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane’s Gurdeep Kohli Speaks On Shooting Death Sequence

Actress Gurdeep Kohli, who is popular with her role Dr. Juhi Singh in Sanjivani, which was aired on Star TV, is seen in Entertainment Television's Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane. In the show Gurdeep plays the role of Anu - a cancer-stricken person who loses the battle against the deadly disease.

Recently, Gurdeep shot a sequence for the show and spoke how she felt doing the scene. She said shooting death sequence was physically taxing and emotionally draining.

Gurdeep was quoted by IANS as saying, "I always knew the story was very intense, but I didn't realise how emotional it would be till the time I actually shot the scenes. During the ICU sequences, I was completely emotionally drained. Anandita's character is close to my heart. Shooting the last scenes took a toll on me as I was living the character for the last month and half."

Gurdeep also said that while shooting she realised the pain of people who were suffering from cancer as well as the pain of patient's family. She wished and prayed that none in this world should go through such pain in their life.

The actress, who is married to Arjun Punj is around four months pregnant in real life, thanked producers and the entire creative team for taking care of her while shooting intense scenes.

Currently, Anu (Gudeep) is shown dead and her husband Ram (Ram Kapoor) is held responsible for her death. Anu is fed up of injections that is given to her daily and instead of dying every day, she requests Ram to rest her in peace. Ram, who couldn't do this, pushes his wife's bed to the life-support system (on her insistence), where she herself switches it off.

In the upcoming episode, Disha (Ram's daughter) gets to know about Ram was responsible for her mother's death. Upset with this, Ram gets hit by the vehicle and meets with an accident.
