Yes, Diya Aur Baati Hum is all set to take five years leap probably next month. Sandhya (Deepika Singh), who was shown as ideal wife and bahu, will be seen portraying a mother's role post leap.

In the previous episodes, Bhabho had given a clue that she wants Sooraj (Anas Rashid)-Sandhya to have a baby. When they seem to overlook the hint, Bhabho told this directly. Sooraj and Sandhya get tensed as Bhabho doesn't know about Sandhya's kidney donation.

It was later when Bhabho gave Sandhya and Sooraj an ultimatum that it is high time and now she wants Sooraj to see as a father, they will be deciding on it. Post leap, Sandhya will deliver a baby and the Raati family will be seen welcoming the new member.

A source was quoted as saying by Tellychakkar, "With Sandhya proving herself as the perfect wife and bahu it was time to bring on more twist in the show and present another important aspect in a woman's life. She will now become a mother."
