Drashti Dhami's Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani To Replace Rajat-Paridhi's Jodha Akbar!

Drashti Dhami's upcoming Zee TV show, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, is reported to be replacing Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma's long-running historical show, Jodha Akbar.

Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani staring Drashti and Siddhanth Karnick in lead roles will take the 8 PM slot from July 27 and the Rajat-Paridhi starrer, Jodha Akbar, will finally come to an end.

Owing to bad ratings, the channel has decided to pull the plug on Jodha Akbar. Though the makers have tried their best in bringing sharp twists and turns to get the ratings back, their effort has not been able to make the viewers watch the once-popular show again.

The Drashti Dhami show is also a period drama staring Drashti and Siddhanth and the promos has high expectations from the fans of the actress and avid television viewers. With Drashti away from the limelight after her Colors show, Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, her fans are waiting on one-foot to get to watch their favourite actress everyone again.

Jodha Akbar's fans, on the other hand, are on a mission to stop the show from going off air. They have been requesting the makers of the show to not pull the plug and let their favourite show continue.
