In Jodha Akbar, Salim is caught by Jodha (Paridhi Sharma) in red-light area. Jodha was angry as Salim, being a heir of Mughals, was going to brothel. To forget the pain of hating his love - Anarkali, and for getting married to the one whom he doesn't love - Maan Bai, Salim was going to brothel.
Jodha warns Salim and asks him not to do injustice to the girl he is marrying. She wants him to be present at wagdan's ceremony if he respects women otherwise she will tell his reality to all. Salim now is in dilemma to marry Mann Bai or not.
Jodha says about Salim to Bhagwan and asks him to break this relationship. Bhagwan is afraid that if he break this relationship, his daughter won't get married, moreover this will spoil the family name.
Salim's uncle and Qutub stops Salim and inform about few enemies who had entered their territory. Though they killed one, another had kidnapped a girl. Salim goes to save the girl by attacking the enemy's hidden place. He saves the girl and get to know it is Anarkali. Again both argue, saying they don't love each other.
Daniyal, who is good friend of Mann Bai, speaks in favour of her and requests Salim not to do injustice to her. Salim, respecting Jodha and Daniyal's words, accepts the shagun. Jodha is happy about Salim's decision and at the same time surprised. She is still in dilemma thinking if Salim will keep Maan Bai happy or not.
Rukhiya, who knows about Salim, asks why is Jodha tensed from the time Akbar (Rajat Tokas) had left. Though Jodha avoids the question, Rukhs insists her to share her feelings. Jodha says about Salim, and Rukhs thinks to herself that though she knows about Salim, she won't share it with Jodha.
It should be seen if Salim had taken this decision wisely or is he still in dilemma of marrying Maan Bai as he still loves Anarkali.
