Jodha Akbar's April 10th episode: Akbar orders Salim to apologize to Murad for his audacity and arrogance. Salim says that he is ready to get punished, but he will never apologize. Salim gets demoted from his positions and powers as a punishment. Akbar also says that Salim will not be allowed to meet Anarkali again.
Salim still comes to meet Anarkali, violating the Emperor’s order. Anarkali slams the door on his face and says that she cannot disobey the Emperor. Salim says that he will keep coming to her!
Khan-E-Khana Rahim scolds Murad for complaining against Salim in Akbar’s court. He opines that it was a misunderstanding between the brothers and should have been sorted out by private discussion. Queen Salima supports Rahim.
Murad becomes angry. He says that Salim has brought the biggest insult upon his post by slapping him in front of a maidservant. Rahim reminds him that the designation originally belongs to Salim, as he is the eldest son of Akbar. Murad becomes even more upset as he thinks that he can be a better Emperor.
Jodha remains upset for the crisis Salim is going through. She recalls Pandit Badrinath’s prediction that there will be differences between Akbar and Salim. She blames Akbar for paying too much attention to politics and ignoring the family issues.
Rukaiya comes to Salim and provokes him against Jodha. She says that she would have changed her religion, if she were in Jodha’s place. Salim is provoked and he bursts on Jodha.
The King of Iran is happy for his success in having control over the politics of India. He thinks that he will pressure Akbar further to convert the state into dar-ul-Islam, instead of encouraging secularism. He gets the news that the King of Turan has befriended Akbar. He ignores the matter.
