Jodha Akbar: Salim Takes The Decision For Akbar

Jodha Akbar April 2nd episode: Rukaiya comes to Salim to inform him about the present trouble of the state and to provoke him against Akbar. She says that Akbar will never tell Jodha to accept Islam. Salim comes to Akbar and asks why he is hiding the matter from him. Akbar says that he is perhaps facing the biggest conflict of his life; he tells Salim to find out some solution.

Salim tells Jodha about it; Jodha becomes worried for her son. Akbar and Hamida tell her that Salim has to face this hurdle before he becomes an emperor. In the court Salim stands up and says that in his childhood Akbar punished him whenever he liked and no one questioned Akbar.

Hamida scolds Salim for being audacious. Salim explains that he only wants to say that the emperor has the sole authority to decide the matters of his state. No one can interfere in the matters of Hindusthan, be it Shah Iran or someone else. And if someone tries doing so, he should face the Mughal army, says Salim.

Akbar appreciates Salim for his bold attitude and says that the prince deserves being the next emperor. He declares Salim’s crowning as the next emperor on the very next day.

The Muslim priest tells Akbar that it would not be a wise decision to go against Shah Iran. Akbar says that he never wants Islam domination in his state as he has declared it as a secular state. The Iran ambassadors receive this message and gets invitation for the crowning ceremony. They think that Akbar will face the music for violating the order of Shah Iran.
