Jodha
Akbar's
April
3rd
episode:
Salim
goes
to
darga
and
pays
respect
to
the
soul
of
Anarkali’s
dead
father.
He
meets
Anarkali
and
expresses
his
love.
Anarkali
refrains
from
accepting
it,
as
she
thinks
that
it
would
be
an
illicit
affair.
Akbar
is
informed
that
the
people
of
the
Mughal
kingdom
are
being
stopped
from
going
to
Haj.
Even
his
own
sister
Bakshi
Banu
faces
the
same
thing.
He
understands
that
Shah
Iran
has
started
executing
his
order,
as
Jodha
is
not
converted
to
Islam.
Rukaiya
proposes
that
Salim’s
crowning
should
be
stopped.
Jodha
fears
that
Salim
would
feel
insulted.
Akbar
says
that
he
cannot
stop
the
function;
it
will
take
place
as
scheduled
by
him.
The
ambassadors
of
Shah
Iran
attend
the
crowning
function.
Everyone
waits
to
see
Salim
being
crowned
as
the
next
Emperor.
But
Akbar
says
that
he
is
crowning
Murad
for
the
position,
as
he
is
born
of
a
Muslim
mother.
Everyone
is
shocked
except
the
messengers
of
Iran.
They
think
that
Akbar
has
taken
a
wise
decision
to
avoid
his
conflict
with
Shah
Iran.
Jodha
comes
to
talk
with
Salim
after
the
ceremony
is
over.
Salim
says
that
he
has
no
problem
if
the
Emperor
wants
to
crown
Murad
as
his
heir,
but
he
feels
insulted
for
the
pretension
made
by
Akbar.
Jodha
tells
Salim
that
there
must
be
some
reason.
Jodha
crosses
Akbar
for
his
shocking
and
disastrous
decision.
Akbar
explains
that
in
the
last
meeting
with
his
officers
he
decided
to
place
Murad
as
the
next
King.
When
he
was
angry
with
Shah
Iran’s
action,
his
officers
told
him
that
his
state
had
been
through
a
tough
time
in
the
last
few
months;
another
war
would
create
nothing
else
than
destruction.
Akbar
understood
that
he
has
to
play
a
brain
game
with
Iran.
So,
he
decided
to
make
a
temporary
pretension
of
comprise,
only
to
take
some
time
to
find
out
a
strategy.
Akbar
also
says
that
he
did
not
share
it
with
Salim
in
the
fear
that
Salim’s
face
could
make
him
weak.
