Jodha
Akbar
February
27th
episode:
The
brothel
managers
inform
Anarkali
that
they
have
received
no
help
from
the
emperor’s
relief
fund,
as
Salim
has
stopped
it.
Anarkali
tries
to
talk
with
Salim,
but
Haider
prevents
her.
She
herself
goes
to
the
brothel
to
provide
them
with
ration.
The
common
people
are
served
food
from
the
Royal
kitchen,
after
their
homes
are
ruined
in
the
natural
disaster.
But
the
strange
worms
infect
the
food
and
people
become
sick
after
having
it.
Akbar
scolds
Salima
Begum
as
she
was
the
kitchen
supervisor.
It
is
reported
that
the
people
of
the
kingdom
are
stung
by
the
worms
and
the
wounds
are
fatal.
Akbar
himself
sees
that
his
wound
is
not
getting
healed.
He
calls
a
meeting
to
discuss
a
way
out.
Someone
suggests
that
the
fields
should
be
burnt
to
destroy
the
worms.
Akbar
accepts
the
proposal.
Jodha
tells
Akbar
that
he
should
have
a
discussion
with
the
farmers
before
burning
the
fields
which
are
closely
connected
to
their
lives.
But
Akbar
thinks
that
people
would
understand
his
intention.
All
the
fields
are
set
on
fire
to
destroy
the
worms
in
Agra.
But
it
is
reported
that
the
worms
have
spread
throughout
the
whole
Mughal
kingdom.
Seeing
their
fields
on
fire,
the
farmers
become
angry
and
they
revolt
against
the
emperor.
Thousands
of
farmers
gather
in
front
of
the
palace
and
cry
slogans
against
the
Mughal
misrule.
Jodha
forbids
Akbar
to
meet
the
outraged
mob,
but
he
ignores
her
warning.
Mirza
Hakim
is
informed
that
Akbar’s
relation
with
Man
Singh
has
turned
into
enmity.
He
thinks
that
Man
Singh
will
help
him
in
the
war
against
Akbar.
He
befriends
Man
Singh.
