Jodha Akbar: Rukaiya Tries To Ruin Jodha’s Business

Jodha Akbar's July 20th episode: Jodha hopes that the Kashmir tour would make a new beginning in the conjugal life of Salim and Man Bai. The English traders become angry due to the Emperor’s refusal to give them the business permit. They hatch a different plot to fulfill their mission. They meet prince Murad and bribe him, with a hope that Murad would help them.

Jodha starts spice trading successfully, with the help of Salima Begum and King Todarmal; she orders Todarmal to pack the spices with immense care and caution, so that any change in the weather cannot damage them.


The Royal Accountant King Todarmal tells the Emperor that the business has enhanced the royal fund and the farmers are benefited too! Queen Jodha is honored in the Royal court. Akbar gives her a special stamp for business.

Rukaiya feels envious to see Jodha’s success. She plans to spoil Jodha’s reputation. Todarmal tells Jodha that the second round of spice export has been delayed due to a late delivery of spices from Gwalior. Jodha tells him to make it fast so that India’s reputation and image remains unspoiled.

Rukaiya calls two maids and gives them some instruction. After Todarmal checks the sacks of spices at night and leaves the store room, the maids enter the storeroom stealthily and open the windows.

It rains heavily at night. Jodha and Akbar spend a romantic night and wake up with a fresh mood in the morning. Queen Salima meet them on an urgent basis; she looks panicked. She informs Jodha that most of the spices have become wet, as water came through the open windows in the last night!
