Jodha Akbar: Akbar Gets Whipped For The False Accusation

Jodha Akbar's March 13th episode: Sheth Jagdev tells his men how he has framed Akbar. Akbar cries and asks the Almighty why He has created such a tough conflict for Jodha, when she cannot punish her own husband who is actually innocent, neither can she hurt the emotion of the villagers who have elected her as the village chief!

The angel comes to Akbar and says that this is the result of the injustice he has done to several people, who have suffered with their family for no reason. Now either he himself has to take the punishment, or let his family members suffer, says the angel and disappears.

Akbar meets Jodha and tells her to punish him in the village court. He has been guided by the ‘mysterious child’, says Akbar and adds that he wants to experience the pain that has been caused by him upon others.

In the village court Jodha says that she will expel Akbar from the village as a punishment. Akbar denies accepting it. Jagdev Sheth says that the thief can be punished according to the typical rules of village court. He suggests whipping Akbar. Jodha feels helpless.

Akbar willfully receives ten whips publicly in the village court. Rukaiya nurses his back and asks why he did not avoid it. She bursts on Jodha. Jodha tells her that she was helpless as it was the king’s order to punish him!

But punishment does not end here. Akbar is stamped as a thief and insulted everywhere. Man Singh tries to escape from Mirza’s war camp with his companion.
