Yeh Hai Mohabbatein's April 8th episode: Mihika meets Sujata, a social activist fighting for women’s issues. She tells her about Ruhi’s custody trouble. Sujata promises that she will help Ishita to regain Ruhi’s custody. She tells Mihika to come with the court papers; Mihika informs Ishita.
Toshi keeps encouraging Rinki to have a romantic married life; she even gives her a romantic film DVD. Rinki keeps it at home carelessly. Raman comes to Mihir’s flat to talk with Shagun. He rebukes Shagun for being irresponsible towards Ruhi’s studies.
Shagun ignores his complaints and tells him to cool down. She sees the film DVD and thinks it is the DVD of Ruhi’s ad film. She insists on seeing the film and tells Raman to sit. He cannot refuse.
Ishita collects Ruhi’s class notes and comes to give the notes to Ruhi. She sees Ruhi playing in the complex and gives her the notes. She hugs and kisses Ruhi, who does not respond. But after Ishita turns back, Ruhi runs after her and falls. Her knee is injured.
Shagun puts the DVD in the player and sees it is a romantic film. Raman feels disgusted. Ishita comes to the room and sees them watching fils. She tells Shagun to promptly bring the first aid box. The security guard brings Ruhi inside.
Ishita nurses Ruhi’s scar and leaves the house with Raman. Raman tries to give explanations to Ishita; she retorts that he is a careless and selfish man and Ruhi is out of the Bhalla house due to his mistake. Raman shouts at her.
Ruhi misses Ishita and calls in the Bhalla house land phone. Shagun sees it and becomes angry; she calls a lawyer and tells him to issue a court order so that Ishita can keep no connection with Ruhi.
