We
had
earlier
reported
about
film-maker
Mahesh
Bhatt's
upcoming
show,
Naamkaran,
which
will
replace
the
popular
show,
Diya
Aur
Baati
Hum,
in
the
9
pm
slot.
We
had
even
shared
the
glimpses
of
the
show's
first
promo.
As
per
the
reports,
the
show
is
based
on
Mahesh
Bhatt's
1998
Bollywood
film,
Zakhm.
While
some
sources
are
saying
that,
the
show
is
loosely
inspired
from
Mahesh
Bhatt's
own
life.
Well,
if
you
guys
are
wondering,
what
the
show
is
all
about,
we
bring
you
some
interesting
aspects
regarding
the
show.
Read
on
to
know
more
about
the
show.
Naamkaran,
will
focus
on
the
young
girl,
Avni
(essayed
by
child
artist
Arsheen
Naamdar),
who
lives
with
her
single
mother
Asha
(Barkha
Bisht).
In
the
first
promo,
we
came
across
Avni's
inquisitive
nature
upon
hearing
the
word,
'kanyadaan'
at
a
wedding.
Apparently,
the
storyline
of
the
show
would
be
dealt
from
Avni's
perspective.
Asha,
Avni's
mother
would
have
faced
a
lot
of
troubles
in
her
life
and
her
young
daughter,
will
be
a
pillar
of
strength
to
her.
As
per
the
reports,
Avni
will
be
an
illegitimate
child.
Actor
Viraf
Patel,
will
play
the
role
of
Avni's
father
on
the
show.
When
quizzed
Mahesh
Bhatt
regarding
the
show,
he
told,
"Naamkaran
is
the
story
of
a
young
girl
who
lives
with
a
single
parent
and
begins
a
quest
to
define
herself
in
this
world
with
its
prevalent,
hypocritical,
tumbling
moral
structure
and
she
finds
herself
locking
horns
with
them,
adjusting
to
them,
and
finally
emerging."
Mahesh
Bhatt,
was
all
praises
for
the
8-year-old
Arsheen
and
even
called
her
'brilliant'.
Popular
singer
Arijit
Singh
has
been
roped
in
to
sing
the
title
track
of
the
show.
Naamkaran
will
air
its
first
episode
on
September
12,
2016.
