The story of Star Plus' new show Tamanna revolves around a woman, Dharaa (Anuja Sathe), who aspires to become a cricketer and the sacrifices that she make to fulfil her dream.
There are reports that Ashish Vidhyarthi and Sonali Kulkarni have been approached for the show. Ashish Vidyarthi essay the role of the cricket coach of the young Dharaa (Harshita Ojha).
Ashish was quoted by an entertainment website as saying, "Yes, I have shot for Tamanna. It is a brilliantly penned role, and I play the cricket coach to the young girl, Dharaa."
On the other hand, Sonali Kulkarni will be doing a cameo role in the show. She was quoted by IANS as saying, "When they approached me for 'Tamanna', the concept of the show attracted me and it was an instant 'yes'. 'Tamanna' is a relatable story about a woman and her dreams. I will be portraying a cameo of a lawyer counsellor in the show. The character is positive, charming and a winner."
The actress further added, "I am extremely excited to be a part of 'Tamanna'. Abhinay and Ajinkya Deo are my dear friends. I am closely associated to Ramesh Deo Productions and 'Tamanna' is their dream project. I am more than glad to be a guest of their dreams."
Also, Anchal Sabharwal, who was seen in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - 2, will make her comeback to television with this show.
Apparently, Anchal will be seen playing the role of an air hostess, Lavanya. Dharaa and Lavanya will be seen living in the same chawl.
