Drashti Dhami Gets Candid About Her Character Naina In The Upcoming Show Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil!

Star Plus' latest offering, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil stars Drashti Dhami and Arjun Bijlani in the lead roles is all set to hit the television screens on 7th November, 2016 at 8 pm. Both the actors are coming back after a hiatus and their fans are equally excited.

Arjun and Drashti's fresh pairing has created quite a buzz. Since its inception, there is a speculation regarding the show's story line. The show is touted to be a love story of two mature individuals. Some sources also predicted that the show is loosely based on the Shahrukh Khan-starrer, Pardes.

Arjun's character, Raghav is that of a kind-hearted guy, whose sense of humour lightens up any situation, whereas Drashti will play the role of Naina, who represents a present-day confident and independent woman, who is her mother's support system.
In an interview to a leading entertainment portal, Drashti opened up about the show.

About her character, she told, "Naina is a middle class girl whose life revolves around her mother and she takes care of her. She has a brother, but he lives in Innsbruck. So he is not around physically, to help her. Naina's mother is her life and in real life also, my mother is my whole and soul."

She added, "She is always with her mother, taking care of her, so her mother finally takes a call that Naina should go and live for her own happiness. That's when Naina goes to Innsbruck and there begins her journey of how she overcome the problems that she's had and the need for someone."
