Sony TV's popular show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste recently went off air. Not just the fans, even the EDKV team was not happy with Sony TV's move. Fans repeatedly requested the channel and the makers of the show not to end the show. When the channel didn't pay heed to their request, they requested to the makers and the channel to at least not to end the show abruptly, and extend the show!
But, this request also went unheard. The fans went crazy and they started an online drive, sent e-mails and repeatedly called the channel. Not just this, a group of people went to Sony Entertainment office to meet the head of the channel. But, again the channel turned a deaf ear to the fans.
The show ended on a happy note with Shravan (Namik Paul) and Suman (Nikita Dutta) confessing their love for each other. Also, the misunderstanding between Shravan and his mother Nirmala gets cleared. Read on...
EDKV Fans Didn't Lose Hope
Even after the show went off air, the fans didn't lose hope and started another online drive. They demanded the makers and the channel to bring Ek Duje Ke Vaaste Season 2 with the same cast.
Ek Duje Ke Vaaste Fans Print 20 Feet Flex
The fans now have sent a 20 feet flex to the Sony channel. It has the requests of fans with their signatures, and the pictures of EDKV cast in the background.
Salil Sand wrote, "#Respect to all the fans of #EkDujeKeVaaste for printing a 20 feet flex. The show and the actors are fortunate to have fans like you all."
A few days ago, the lead actor of the show, Namik Paul was also touched with the fans' requests. He took to the social media to respond to his fans, who have been asking him about EDKV 2.
"When your stylist friend takes you to a room full of costumes and one actually (kinda) fits 😋😋😋 Now let's finally address something that a lot of you have asked me about, be it online or when I meet some of you in person- Season 2."
"I haven't heard anything about it. What does this mean? It just means I haven't heard anything about it. Actors are usually the last ones to know anyway."
Fans Demand Matters?
"And rest assured, if and when I do hear anything I'll be sure to tell you. Because if Season 2 happens, it'll be due to fan demand so you WILL know for sure."
Namik Further Added...
"That being said, till I hear something, I won't raise false hopes or try to get any sort of mileage out of it. It wouldn't be fair to you guys if I did because it's obvious how much this means to a lot of you."
Namik Loves To Play Shravan!
"Anyone who's been paying attention knows I'd love to play Shravan again. I've never had, nor have, anything to prove in that regard, no damage to control, no self aggrandising tales to spin. If that makes some people think I don't care, then I'll happily live with that 😊."
Well, this shows how much the fans have been missing the show. It's nice of Namik , to have responded to his fans' requests.
There are also reports that now the channel might scrap another popular show, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi for a new show, Peshwa Bajirao.

We are aware that the Sony TV has been making a few changes in their channel. But, we don't understand why they scrap good shows. Does this mean only TRP matters to the channel and not the fans' requests?
We just hope the channel considers fans' requests.
