'Fan Power': Ek Duje Ke Vaaste Gets Reinstated; Namik Paul Thanks Fans!
We had recently reported about Sony's decision to scrap the popular show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste. Although, it was said the show will have a happy ending, the fans weren't pleased and they started mailing and calling the channel as well as the production unit to reconsider their stand.
Later, the lead actor Namik Paul as well as the maker of the show Dilip Jha's messages on social media hinted about EDKV's end, which left the fans in frenzy. They started an online petition, which also received the maximum votes.
However, Raj Baddhan (Founder of media & showbiz website @BizAsia) has created confusion with his tweet. According to his sources at Sony TV India, the show is not going off air yet. Now the leading daily, 'Mumbai Mirror' has also reported that the show isn't going off air at the moment. (READ ON TO KNOW MORE)

Namik Paul took to Twitter to thank the fans. He wrote, "Thank you for all your efforts. You don't know how much they meant to all of us here. You really don't."

Why The Channel Wanted To Terminate The Show...
Apparently, the decision to end the show was taken because Nikita had to be hospitalised after being diagnosed with dengue and leptospirosis. This is the second time that the actress was hospitalised and the shoot was halted.

The source was quoted by Mumbai Mirror as saying, "If that wasn't enough to worry about, her costar Namik was also down of viral infection last week because of which two episodes couldn't be telecast last Thursday and with a bad bout Friday. The makers had run through their bank of episodes."

When the daily contacted the channel, they insisted that the show isn't going off air at the moment. We must say that it is all because of the fans that the show got reinstated.

We had reported earlier that the viewers from the other shows have also joined the drive as well as signed the petition, as they feared that their favourite shows might also meet the same fate.
The show is just seven months old and had just reached a highpoint with its protagonists Shravan (Namik Paul) and Suman (Nikita Dutta) tying the knot. The fans feel that the real story starts now.
It has to be recalled that recently, Star Plus' Phir Bhi Na Maane... Badtameez Dil went off air abruptly. But the channel was forced to reinstate it online following the protests from fans.
