There will be a major development on Zee TV's popular show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. The main characters, Surekha Sikri (Badi Rani), Chetan Hansraj (Kaal) and Zaan Khan (Jeevan) will no longer be part of the show!
According to reports, Surekha Sikri, who is one of the main villains in the show, has quit the show stating health reason. She has been a part of the show since its inception, but in the recent times, the actress is facing health issue and also having dates issue. It has to be recalled that the veteran actress is also part of Star Plus' new show Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil.
Also, it is said that Zaan is not happy with the way his role was shaping up in the show and decided to quit the show. The actor was quoted by an entertainment portal as saying, "The journey ended on a very positive note. It's time to move on. I would only say, 'Acha chalta hu duao me yaad rakhna..."
According to the reports, Badi Rani and Kaal will get killed, while Jeevan will shift abroad. It is said that Surekha and Zaan had already wrapped up their shoot, while Chetan will be shooting his climax scene by end of this month.
On the other hand, Iqbal Khan will be entering the show. A source was quoted by the entertainment portal as saying, "This will be a special cameo entry, and the character will be an anti-hero. He will be a staunch Muslim with utmost respect towards women. He will bump into Rani (Eisha Singh) and the encounter will bring about a lot of twists in the tale."
Also, latest news is Deepshikha Nagpal will enter the show. She will be seen playing Iqbal's conniving step-mother, Abida.
