We had earlier reported that the vivacious Jasmin Bhasin has bagged a new show opposite Siddharth Shukla. Yes, the 'Tashan-E-Ishq' actress has bagged Shashi-Sumeet Mittal's next project on Colors, which is apparently titled 'Sangharsh'.
As per the reports, the show will throw light upon the sensitive topic of surrogacy and will be dealt in a sensitive manner. It is also being said that the show will be in the lines of hit Bollywood movie, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, starring Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta.
Television heartthrob Siddharth Shukla, who was last seen in 'Balika Vadhu' will reprise Salman Khan from the original and Jasmin has been finalised to play Preity Zinta's role.
Earlier, it was reported that 'Uttaran' actress Tina Dutta was being finalised for the role reprised by Rani Mukherjee in the original. But, Sanjeeda Sheikh has been roped in to play the part. She will most likely play the role of a wife, yearning to have a kid.
Keeping in mind, that Salman's family in the movie was a huge joint family, the makers have finalised a huge starcast to perfectly fit the bill here as well. Starting from the eldest, veteran actor Tej Sapru will play the role of his grandfather.
Actor Sachin Parikhas will play Siddharth's father and 'Hamari Devrani' actress Urvashi Upadhyay will be play the role of chachi and veteran actress Dolly Minhas will play dadi's role.
Also joining them would be Khyati Keswani as bua and Jignesh Joshi as bua's husband and Himani Sharma as Siddharth's sister.
Official announcement regarding the show is awaited from the makers. We can only hope that, they make it soon.
