Mika Singh On The Kapil Sharma Show: Sony TV Responds To Colors’ Legal Notice

Mika Singh had created headlines after he appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show and praised the show as well as the host, Kapil Sharma. Not only Colors, it was also said that Zee TV was also miffed with the singer!

Recently, Colors had sent a legal notice to Sony TV. They had asked the channel not to air the episode in which Mika was featured as the guest. It was also said that Mika was asked to leave Colors' Comedy Nights Live, where he is seen as a permanent guest. Not only this, the host of CNL, Krushna Abhishek was also upset. But now, Sony has responded to Colors' legal notice.

Sony has said that they are unaware of Mika's exclusive agreement to Colors. According to a report by Spotboye, Sony stated that they have 'no contractual or other legal relationship with Viacom18 Private Ltd' and hence, are not 'under any obligation, legal or otherwise, to accede to the peremptory demands made in the notice'.

CNL's host Krushna, who was also upset with Mika, was quoted by a leading daily as saying, "Yes, I'm upset with Mika. He shouldn't have gone to The Kapil Sharma Show. They are playing games with us, but games won't work, content will."

It has to be recalled that Mika is a part of Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and this show is aired at the same time as that of Kapil's show. And hence, it is said that Zee TV is also upset with the singer!

On the other hand, Mika has said that his main intention of going to Kapil's show was just to promote his movie songs as a singer.

Well, the promos of TKKS featuring Mika has already been aired, and with Sony's statements, it looks like the episode featuring the singer will be aired this weekend. It has to be seen what Colors has to say about this....
