Good news for all Shaktimaan fans, as the popular show of 90s, might be back on television soon! Apparently, Mukesh Khanna is in talks to revive the superhero show on television, again.
The actor was quoted by a leading daily as saying, "We are planning the return of Shaktimaan on television and the discussions are going on with few channels. I can't committ the date but you will get to see it soon."

The actor says he is working on his looks and body. He has also lost 8 kgs and in process of losing another 8 kilos! Mukesha further added, "I am not trying to get six pack abs. I want to try and match up with the look that I had 15 years back. People relate to me as Shaktimaan and I can't offer the role to anyone."
When asked why they are not considering any young actor to play the Shaktimaan, Mukhesh said, "I was very young when I played the role of Bhishmapitama in Mahabharat. I feel an actor can't be restricted due to age. I feel age is just a number. It depends on how you look and if you will be able to pull off the character with full conviction."

Mukesh played the role of Pandit Gangadhar Vidyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri aka Shaktimaan; while Vaishnavi Mahant played Geeta Vishwas, Shaktimaan's love interest.
If you remember, when the show was first aired on Doordarshan there were lot of controversies - like kids jumping off the building trying Shaktimaan stunt. But, Mukesh spent a substantial part of the airtime in explaining children that the stunts shown on the show were not real!
