Not Yuvika Chaudhary, But Kratika Sengar Bags The Lead Role In Kasam!

We had previously reported that Bigg Boss 9 contestant, Yuvika Chaudhary was being considered for the lead role opposite Ssharad Malhotra in Balaji Telefilms' upcoming show, Kasam. But now, the reports suggest that it is not Yuvika, but Service Wali Bahu actress, Kratika Sengar, who has bagged the role.

A source was quoted by the leading daily as saying, "Though it was widely reported that Yuvika had signed the dotted line, it wasn't the case. She was considered and almost finalised, but the deal was never sealed. Ekta wasn't convinced that Yuvika would pull off the role well, so she decided to cast Kratika Sengar Dheer to play Tanushree." It is said that the actress has been finalised and the formalities will be completed soon. But, the Punar Vivah actress, Kratika was quoted by the leading daily as saying, "Yes, I have been approached for the role, but I haven't been told by Balaji that I am in."

She added, "I am clueless whether I am doing it or not, as I haven't signed the contract formally. All I can say at the moment is that I would love to do the show. It will be great if things work out. Hoping for the best."

Kasam will be replacing the Colors' popular show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi that will end on 19th February.

Kasam will be a reincarnation drama which will have an intense love story. Ssharad will be shown as a Casanova. He will seen playing a business tycoon, and to impress girls he takes up boxing as a hobby.
