Pratyusha Banerjee Death: Post-Mortem Report Out!

Balika Vadhu and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Pratyusha Banerjee's shocking death (suicide) has not only shaken us, but also the television industry. The actress was found hanging in her suburban residence on Friday (April 1) evening. Her boyfriend, who saw her first, rushed her to the hospital, where she was admitted and later pronounced death.

While some felt it was a suicide, a few of the actress' friends, family members and neighbours suspected a foul play. Now, the post-mortem report is out and it says it is a 'clear case of suicide'.

Senior PI Bhandare, Bangur Nagar Police Station was quoted by an entertainment website as saying, "It is a clear case of suicide, no foul play. Parents have no complaints for anyone. Though, we have recorded few statements to help us in the case."

We had also reported about the marks that were found on Pratyusha's cheeks. Apparently, these could be the injuries that were due to a physical scuffle between Pratyusha and her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, before she committed suicide.

Preliminary autopsy reveals death due to asphyxiation. According to IANS report, "A team of doctors conducted the post-mortem for over three hours and the entire procedure has been videographed. The viscera samples have been sent for forensic analysis even as the final autopsy report is expected later." Balika Vadhu actress had also tattooed Rahul's name on her upper back.

The actress was cremated at the Oshiwara Crematorium in the presence of family and actor-friends from the television industry.
