We had already reported about the dating rumours of the lead actors of the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai - Kanchi Singh and Rohan Mehra, who play the roles of siblings - Gayu and Naksh, respectively. Although, Rohan and Kanchi haven't made their relationship official, there is buzz that because of their PDA, their roles on-screen have been sidelined.
It was said that the makers of the show are facing problems because of their love and had even warned the couple to tone down their PDA. Since the show's viewers are a little conservative, and reel life siblings romancing in real life may not be accepted by the audiences. But the actress has denied the reports and has opened up about the issue.

Kanchi Refutes The Rumours
Kanchi refuted the rumours of being sidelined. She was quoted by the entertainment website as saying, "Our show is popular, so there will be many people talking about something that is unwanted."
Kanchi Will Be Seen In Full-Fledged Tracks
She added, "In fact, I will want to make it very clear that my character is now established, and I will have good and engrossing full-fledged tracks on. So where does the question of being side-lined arise?"
Kanchi's Role Response
Kanchi said, "I am getting an amazing response and I am really happy. I am glad to be part of such a wonderful show. And to work with Rajan Sir again is a nice feeling."
Kanchi Feels The Wait Is Worth
The actress had to wait for the audiences' responses as her character took some time to blossom. But she says the wait is over and justified. She enjoys positivity on the sets, and love being with the entire unit.

Talking about her senior actors, Kanchi said, "Hina is such a beautiful and talented actress. There is so much to learn from her. She's so dedicated towards her work."
Kanchi Misses Karan
She added that she misses Karan Mehra (Naitik) on the sets. She added that he is a ‘sweet person to work with'. Talking about Rajan sir, she said, "I am greatful to Rajan Sir for believing in me. Now it is my turn to give him the best. I simply cannot let him down, and will do my best."
Kanchi Laughs Off The Rumours
Rubbishing the rumour, Kanchi once again said that nothing has ever affected her. She added, "For all those who feel my role has been sidelined, I will like to say that Gayu will be seen more now (laughs). It's time for some serious work."
The actress laughs off the rumour of her role being sidelined. In an interview to an entertainment portal, Kanchi said that her character is now established and will be having full-fledged tracks in the future.
It has to be recalled that, on the show, Kartik, Naira and Gayu's love triangle is being focused. There are also reports that there will be a new entry on the show, who will be shown as Gayu's childhood friend, who later falls in love with her and proposes her for the marriage!
In the interview, she even thanked Rajan Shahi for believing in her. She says it is her turn to give her best.
On asking about her affair with Rohan Mehra, Kanchi refused to comment on it.
