Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Swati Chitnis To Play Kartik’s Dadi!

It is known to all that the Hina Khan's exit has affected the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai's TRPs, but the makers are trying their best to bring the show back to the top slot. The show is undergoing a major change after Hina's exit as the makers have introduced the new characters in the form of Kartik's family.

We have already witnessed Kartik's parents - Manish (father) and Suvarna (step-mother), sister Kriti and his uncle (Akhilesh) and aunt's entry. Now, Kartik's dadi will be introduced. We had recently reported that Rafi Malik will enter the show as Kartik's brother. Now, there are reports that Swati Chitnis will be playing the role of Kartik's Dadi.

Apparently, Kartik and Dadi share a special bond.

According to source from an entertainment portal, "Dadi will be superstitious, dominating and will be health-conscious by nature. She will have a soft corner for her elder son Manish Goenka, and would dislike her daughter-in-law Swarna (Parul Chauhan)."

The source further added, "However, her love for her son Manish will force her to be pally with Swarna. Dadi will also be doting on her grandson Karthik."
