Barun Sobti was back with a bang with his recent web series Tanhaiyan. The web series became the 'most watched' show on Hotstar. His chemistry with the lead actress Surbhi Jyoti got mixed responses from the viewers.

In the video, Barun enters the scene in a jeep. His look was similar to that of Haider Ali Khan from Tanhaiyan. He was introduced as "Advay Singh Raizada".

The video went viral and Barun's fans started speculating whether Gul Khan would be coming up with another web series of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

There were also rumours that Barun might enter the show as Advay Singh Raizada on Star Plus' popular show Ishqbaaz, just like how Surbhi Jyoti did!

When the actor was asked about the project, he was quoted by an entertainment portal as saying, "Yes, there is something in the pipeline. We are planning something but I can't really talk about it now." Well, we hope the producer reveals it soon!

There are also two movies of Barun that are in the post-production stage - Satra Ko Shaadi Hai and Tu Hai Mera Sunday. He is also doing a movie 22 Yards with Panchi Bora (who is also television actress). The actress keeps sharing pictures of Barun and hers from the sets.

Barun became a household name with his show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. He had also been to Turkey to meet his fans there! The actor was quoted by the leading daily as saying, "When I went to Turkey, the show was airing there in their language. The fact that the show has gone to some 50-odd countries and made a huge impact everywhere proves that the story is well told. Good content isn't restricted by language."

The actor was nominated and won many awards for his performance on the show - Star Parivaar Awards (Favorite Naya Sadasya), The Global Indian Film and TV Honours (Best Actor In A Lead Role), People's Choice Awards India (Favorite TV Drama Actor), and Indian Television Academy Awards (Best Actor Popular).

He was titled the 3rd Sexiest Asian Man by UK magazine Eastern Eye, in 2013. He was named the 6th Most Sexiest Asian Man beating Bollywood actors Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, in 2016.
