Popular telly actress Hina Khan shocked her fans by quitting the Star Plus' longest running show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The actress is currently on a break. She is spending quality time with her family and is also seen holidaying. Hina's fans are anxiously waiting for her comeback.

In one of the interviews, the actress also admitted that she is getting a lot of offers but is still reading scripts. She was even quoted by an entertainment portal as saying, "Yes, I am getting offers from TV & films but I am waiting for that right script which touches my heart and at the same time entertain my audiences."

Hina even assured her fans that she will not disappoint them and will make a comeback very soon. While her fans are eagerly awaiting her comeback, the latest buzz is that the actress was approached for Colors' fantasy series, Chandrakanta!

Yes, you have heard it right! Rumour has it that the actress was approached by the channel to play a leading role in Chandrakanta and the modalities were worked out, but it was Ekta Kapoor who pulled the plug!

As per the reports by a leading entertainment portal, "It was Ekta who vetoed Hina's casting. Ekta was of the opinion that the audience was so used to seeing Hina as Akshara, the doting mother of two children, that they will not be able to accept her as a fantasy temptress."

The channel accepted Ekta's decision and is on a hunt for the leading lady, while Life Ok finalized Kritika Kamra as the leading lady for Prem Ya Paheli: Chandrakanta.
