A few days ago, we had reported that popular television actor Anas Rashid is all set to tie the knot very soon. The Diya Aur Baati Hum actor was touted to be in a serious relationship with popular telly actress Rati Pandey in the past.
But, the actor seems to have found a perfect match in Heena Iqbal, a girl of his parents' choice. She belongs to his hometown Malerkotla in Punjab and is working in a corporate firm in Chandigarh. He recently confirmed the news about his wedding to a leading entertainment portal.
There is a 14-year age gap between Anas and Heena. While Heena is 24-years old, Anas is 38 years old. The couple got engaged on April 9 in a close-knit affair at his hometown, Malerkotla. Read on to know more....

An elated Anas shared a few pictures from his engagement. Sharing the above image, he wrote, "Engaged with Heena yesterday,,, Happy day and happy memories , ❤❤."
A Family Affair
The ceremony was held in presence of both the families. While Anas chose a maroon sherwani for his big day, Heena looked every bit beautiful in an orange and white lehenga.

Anas took to Instagram and thanked all his fans for the wishes. He wrote, "Thank you for the wishes.."
'We Will Have A Big Celebration In Mumbai Soon'
In an interview to a leading entertainment portal, the actor spoke about his engagament. He told, "I am very happy that I got engaged at my native place. Heena is also from Malerkotla, so we could share many common memories of the place. We will have a big celebration in Mumbai soon."
Anas Rashid's Comment
For the uninitiated, the actor recently landed in a controversay after making a stereotype comments about his fiancee, by telling she doesn't need to work. He told, "I'm working in this industry; aur agar bahu bhi kaam karegi, toh ghar pe kaun rahega? For my family, the fact that I'm working in this industry is enough."
The Actor Clarifies His Comment

The actor recently clarified his previous comment by saying that, "I don't see anything wrong in saying that I am the breadwinner and my wife can stay at home and do what she wants to."
"She is a corporate professional and she is at liberty to choose what she likes to do after marriage. Being a homemaker is also a huge responsibility," concludes Anas.
In one of his earlier interviews, he went on to say that Heena's family is a huge fan of his super successful show, Diya Aur Baati Hum and loved his portrayal of Sooraj Rathi. He even told that Heena was ready to marry him, in spite of a huge age gap of 14 years, as it does not matter to her.
