Indian Idol 7: HOLI SPECIAL Episode; Sukhwinder Singh Wants PVNS Rohit To Win The Show!

The popular musical reality show on Sony, Indian Idol 7 has been entertaining the audiences with its magical musical performances every week, which leaves us wanting for more. The talented contestants are being praised by judges and audiences alike for their superlative performances.

On Saturday (March 11), renowned singer KK was the special guest of the evening. The top 5 contestants crooned to KK's hit songs and he was all praise for the talented singers.

The singers incorporated a style of their own in their rendition, which impressed KK, especially Revanth's performance on 'Aashayein' was loved by all. Read on to know more...

KK Along With The Contestants

KK crooned to his famous song 'Yaaron' along with the top 5 contestants. Incidentally, the song became an anthem during the first season of Indian Idol. The judges became nostalgic when the they sang the song.

No Elimination

The judges surprised the contestants by revealing that there will be no eliminations this week and the contestants couldn't be more happier.

Holi Special Episode

Yesterday (March 12), a Holi special episode was aired and ace singer Sukhwinder Singh was the special guest of the episode.

Khuda Baksh Impresses Anu Malik

Khuda Baksh's singing skills impressed Anu Malik so much, that he went on the stage and lifted him up. The judges gave him a standing ovation. Khuda Baksh also revealed that, he considers Sukhwinder Singh as his lucky charm.

Sonu Nigam Praises Malvika

Next came Malvika, who sang 'Dil Mera Muft Ka'. Both Sonu Nigam and Sukhwinder Singh appreciated her singing skills. Sonu Nigam went on to say that, she is indeed a tough competition to all the other contestants.

Rohit Impresses Sukhwinder Singh

PVNS Rohit sang 'Lagan Lagi', which impressed Sukhwinder Singh so much that he told that, he wants the contestant to win the show. He was stunned upon witnessing the singing skills of the Hyderabad-based singer, that he requested the audience to vote for him.

In an interview to a leading entertainmen portal, Rohit told, "This day has been one of the most memorable days in my life till date and I am in awe of Sukhwinder sir. The fact that he has appreciated me and has made an appeal on my behalf for votes is like a blessing to me."

Furthermore, "He has boosted my confidence like anything and now I can't wait for my next performance. I shall give this competition my best, my aim will be to try and win appreciation from judges and the audience."

Even the judges were in awe of Rohit's performance, that they awarded him the 'performer of the day' title. Upon Farah Khan's insistence, Sukhwinder Singh took the mic to sing 'Lagan Lagi'. The episode ended with the entire gang celebrating Holi. Overall, this special episode was a treat to watch.
