Indian Idol 7: RP Shravan Gets Eliminated; Khuda Baksh Becomes The 'Performer Of The Day'!
Khuda Baksh left everyone speechless with his song, 'Humka Peeni Hai' from Dabangg. The singer was awarded the 'performer of the day' title.
The popular musical reality show on Sony, Indian Idol 7 has been entertaining the audiences with its exceptional performances which leave us wanting for more. Last week, Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut visited the sets of the show, to promote their upcoming film, Rangoon.
The trio had a gala time and was left awestruck upon seeing their performances and heaped words of praises for the talented contestants. Coming to this week, on Saturday (Feb 24), Richa Sharma was the special guest of the evening. Read on to know more...
Richa Sharma
Singer Richa Sharma was the special guest on the show. The top 7 contestants paid a tribute to her, as they crooned to her songs in pairs. Firstly, Richa herself took the centre stage and mesmerised everyone with her soulful singing.
The Powerful Performances
Revanth and Malvika rendered 'Judaai' song from Jannat and impressed the judges with their powerful performance. Sonu Nigam complimented by their performance by saying that he felt, he was in a concert.
Khuda Baksh & Mohit
The duo crooned to Jag Soona Soona Lage from Om Shanti Om. Farah Khan, the director of the film became emotional and told that she wished, she could reshoot the song with their voices.
PVNS Rohit & Shravan
The duo recreated the magic by rendering the song 'Sajdaa' by Richa Sharma. The judges called their performance exceptional and needless to say, it was mind-blowing!
Shravan Gets Eliminated
RP Shravan, Tajinder and Mohit were the bottom 3 contestants and unfortunately, Shravan bid adieu to the show, as he received the least number of votes.
Govinda – The Special Guest
Yesterday (Feb 25), Govinda visited the sets of the show to promote his upcoming film, Aa Gaya Hero. The top 6 contestants sang peppy numbers and managed to impress both the judges and the special guest of the evening.
Khuda Baksh
After a disappointing performance last week, Khuda Baksh delivered a solid performance this week. The singer sang, 'Humka Peeni Hai' from Dabangg and he was appreciated for his performance.
Performer Of The Day
Anu Malik gave him a standing ovation. Khuda revealed that the success had gone into his head, but now he has realized his mistakes and improved his singing. Later, he given the 'performer of the day' title, for his powerful performance. Anu Malik joined Govinda on the stage and grooved with him.
Tajinder Singh, who sang 'O Saawariya' which was originally sung by Kishore Kumar and heaped praises. Malvika sang 'Mera Naam Chin Chin Choo' and managed to impress the judges.
Last but not the least, Revanth's performance on 'Tera Hero Idhar Hai' left Govinda speechless. Later, the host Paritosh Tripathi paid a tribute to Govinda.
