Star Plus' latest offering 'Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai' starring Surbhi Jyoti and Shoaib Ibrahim began with a bang on February 24, and has struck a right chord with the audiences.

The finite series which has been extensively shot in Bikaner, is reportedly based on the concept of 'reincarnation', but with the twist of a thriller. Shoaib is seen as an army officer in the show, while Surbhi is seen as Geetanjali, a simple and educated girl from Rajasthan.

Sharad, who is seen as Geetanjali's over-possessive brother, Rishabh, is touted to be the main antagonist. Check out the review of the show below...

The Beginning

Set in the heartland of Rajasthan, the show revolves around the passionate love story of Geetanjali and Abhimanyu. The show has a rustic feel to it and the locales are royal. Geetanjali is shown to be an asthmatic and also afraid of darkness.

Geetanjali and Abhimanyu

Both Geetanjali and Abhimanyu are Rajputs, but Geetanjali belongs to an affluent family with a huge legacy. The duo are madly in love with each other. Their electrifying chemistry is one of the main reasons to watch the show.

The Soulful Music

The background music is one of the high points of the show and the soulful and soothing 'Lag Jaa Gale' number is apt for this classic Rajput jodi.

Meet Geetanjali's Brother – Rishabh

Geetanjali's brother, Rishabh is introduced. Here, we get the glimpse of what an ancient 'haveli' looks like. Rishabh is blind, but is blessed with a great sense of hearing and touch. As expected, he does not approve of his sister's relationship with Abhimanyu, as he does not match to their standards.

Geetanjali & Abhimanyu Elope

Unable to forget the man whom she loves immensely, Geetanjali elopes with Abhimanyu and they get married. Rishabh gets to know about their secret marriage and is furious. After a high-voltage drama, he finally accepts their marriage.

Abhimanyu's Gift

The couple are seen enjoying the marital bliss, which does not last long, as Abhimanyu has to report for duty, the very next day. Before leaving, Abhimanyu gifts his wife, a pair of anklets and asks her not to take them off as they are directly connected to his life.

Geetanjali's Worry

As fate would have it, Abhimanyu's jeep does not start and hence, he opts for Geetanjali's car instead and leaves for duty. As soon as he leaves, Geetanjali notices a sudden change in the weather and panics. The haveli's light goes off and she falls down. This is when one of her anklets falls down.

Abhimanyu's Accident

Soon, she is informed about Abhimanyu's car accident and she faints. She refuses to believe that he is no more, as she imagines him everywhere.

Six years pass by and Geetanjali is still awaiting her husband's return. Shaleen Malhotra is introduced, who is Geetanjali's friend. He arrives with a bad news and tells her, that even the army personnel has declared him dead.

On the other hand, Geetanjali continues to hear Abhimanyu calling out her name and is unable to forget him. As a part of their tradition, Rishabh fixes a wall clock in Abhimanyu's name and sets an alarm. Much to his surprise, the clock rings even before the set time. With a heavy heart, Geetanjali decides to move on, thereby forgetting her past.

This is when Chanda, the caretaker of the house, tells Rishabh that Abhimanyu's aatma is lurking in the haveli, but he refuses to believe her. Geetanjali imagines Abhimanyu everywhere....

What is the mystery behind Abhimanyu's death? Stay tuned to know....
