There
are
two
Chandrakanta(s)
in
the
making
-
Life
OK
(Nikhil
Sinha)
and
Colors
(Ekta
Kapoor)
are
at
loggerheads,
with
both
wanting
to
make
the
fantasy
show.
The
teasers
of
the
shows
have
been
aired
as
well.
As
per
reports,
Kritika
Kamra
has
been
roped
in
for
Nikhil's
Chandrakanta.
There
is
also
buzz
that
Tere
Bin
actor
Gaurav
Khanna,
has
been
approached
to
play
the
male
lead
in
the
show.
Also,
Chandan
K
Anand,
who
was
seen
in
Hatim,
has
been
signed
to
play
the
role
of
an
antagonist,
Kroor
Singh.
It
has
to
be
recalled
that
Kritika
is
Ekta's
find!
And,
she
will
not
be
seen
in
Ekta's
production
but
Nikhil's
Chandrakanta!
For
which
Kritika
was
quoted
by
a
leading
daily
as
saying,
"I
had
no
clue
about
two
producers
working
on
the
same
subject.
I
realised
it
only
when
I
saw
both
the
teasers
on
the
internet.
Ekta
has
given
me
memorable
shows
and
I
am
still
remembered
as
Arohi
from
Kitani
Mohabbat
Hai."
She
added,
"The
rivalry
could
be
between
the
channels
or
the
production
houses,
but
not
between
Ekta
and
me.
We
are
friends
and
I'm
sure
she
would
be
happy
for
me.
Also,
the
fact
that
there
are
two
shows
will
make
the
competition
interesting.
In
the
end,
good
content
will
win
the
audience's
heart.
Having
said
that,
I
want
both
the
shows
to
do
well."
When
asked
what
made
the
actress
accept
the
project,
Kritika
said,
"I
have
never
been
part
of
a
costume
drama
before.
I
have
watched
the
first
Chandrakanta
as
a
child,
but
nostalgia
isn't
the
reason
I
am
taking
it
up.
I
found
the
script
interesting.
The
central
character
is
not
only
a
beautiful
woman,
but
she's
also
a
fighter
and
has
a
sense
of
purpose."
The
actress
has
already
started
preparing
for
the
role
and
is
on
a
strict
diet!
According
to
reports,
the
biweekly
drama
probably
will
be
aired
from
4
March,
at
8-8.30
pm
time
slot.
