We
had
already
reported
about
that
there
are
two
Chandrakanta(s)
in
the
making.
The
two
channels
Life
OK
and
Colors
TV
are
at
the
loggerheads
with
both
wanting
to
make
the
fantasy
show.
While
Nikhil
Sinha's
show
(on
Life
OK)
has
already
released
the
promo,
the
Ekta
Kapoor
(Colors
TV)
show
is
yet
to
decide
on
the
actors!
On
Nikhil's
show,
Kritika
Kamra
will
be
seen
essaying
the
role
of
princess
Chandrakanta.
The
team
recently
had
also
been
to
Hyderabad's
Golconda
Fort
to
shoot
a
special
sequence
(opening
shot).
Also,
the
Kritika's
looks
from
the
show
were
released.
The
actress
looked
stunning
in
colourful
lehengas.
Kritika
spoke
about
how
she
bagged
the
show
and
about
her
role.
Check

a
few
excerpts
from
her
recent
interviews

various
entertainment
websites.

Chandrakanta...
What
Made
Kritika
Accept
The
Role...
She
was
quoted
by
an
entertainment
portal
as
saying,
"I
have
never
been
a
part
of
a
costume
drama
before.
I
had
watched
the
first
Chandrakanta
as
a
child,
but
nostalgia
isn't
the
reason
I
am
taking
it
up.
I
found
the
script
interesting."
Kritika
Says…
She
further
added,
"Also,
the
roles
I
have
done
earlier
are
all
contemporary
so
as
an
actor,
I
was
more
than
happy
to
do
something
different,
that
will
be
a
new
ground
for
me."
About
Shooting….
Kritika
was
quoted
by
a
leading
daily
as
saying,
"The
show
is
very
hectic
to
shoot
for.
The
kind
of
sequences
we
are
shooting,
the
action,
the
drama,
the
costumes.
There
are
so
many
things
in
the
show,
it's
kind
of
tiring
but
I'm
loving
the
show."
About
Her
Role
"I
have
to
stay
in
character
at
all
times.
Once
in
the
middle
of
a
shot,
I
said
okay
and
then
I
realized
that
I
can't
say
okay!
So,
I
have
to
talk
in
typical
Hindi
language
with
an
Urdu
tinge
to
it."
What's
Different
In
'New'
Chandrakanta?
Although
the
core
concept,
characters
and
their
name
are
the
same,
the
overall
feel
and
look
of
the
show
is
revamped.
About
Other
Chandrakanta
In
The
Making…
Kritika
says
that
she
got
to
know
about
the
other
Chandrakanta
after
she
started
shooting.
She
clarified
that
the
competition
is
between
the
two
channels
and
this
will
not
dent
her
relationship
with
Ekta
Kapoor,
who
had
given
her
memorable
shows.
When
asked
if
she
had
watched
original
series
to
prepare
for
the
role,
the
actress
was
quoted
by
another
leading
daily
as
saying,
"No,
I
watched
Chandrakanta
as
a
child
but
have
consciously
stayed
away
from
watching
it
now
because
I
want
to
give
the
role
my
own
interpretation.
I
don't
want
to
have
references
because
then
you
repeat
them."
It
has
to
be
recalled
that
Kritika
was
recently
seen
on
a
short
film
'White
Shirt' alongside
Bollywood
actor
Kunal
Kapoor.
Kritika
feels
that
online
projects
are
more
fun
and
the
content
is
livelier.
They
also
get
to
experiment
more.
Coming
back
to
Chandrakanta,
the
show
will
also
feature
Gaurav
Khanna,
who
will
be
seen
as
Virendra
Singh.
Ankit
Arora
will
portray
the
role
of
King
Shivdutt.
Chandan
Aanand
will
play
the
role
of
Krur
Singh
and
