Naamkaran: CONFIRMED! Shivani Tomar To Play Avni; Zain Imam Roped In To Play Neil In The Show!

It is no news that Star Plus' Naamkaran, helmed by Mahesh Bhatt will soon witness a massive leap. The makers of the show have planned to go for a leap to give a fresh feel to the show.

The story is currently revolving around Avni. The role is essayed by Arsheen Namdaar. Avni, is one of the most popular characters on the show. Considering the popularity of the role, makers were in hunt for the same.

It looks like search ended on the pretty actress, Shivani Tomar whose last television outing was Kasam. Shivani replaced Kratika Sengar in the show, but her chemistry with co-star Sharad Malhotra was not liked by the audiences. Unfortunately, her stint in the show came to an end.

Names of actresses such as Sonal Vengurlekar and Vrushika Mehta were also considered for the role, but Shivani has bagged the role. Not only that, Tashan-E-Ishq actor Zain Imam has been roped in to play the role of Neil. Zain, was last seen on Yeh Vaada Raha, which went off-air recently.

As per the sources, "The new cast will begin shoot very soon. The channel and makers had to go for an extensive search to get an apt actor to take forward the lead role of Avni. And their search has now stopped at Shivani Tomar, who has shown her acting prowess in her earlier shows. Zain Imam has been roped in for Neil."

As we had reported earlier, Gautam Vig will essay the role of Ali, Avni's best friend in the show.
